How to Crochet Linked Double Crochet Stitches in Spirals

The linked double crochet stitch is a handy stitch to use for your projects. The stitch has the same height as a regular double crochet (dc) but it also is joined to the stitch beside it in the middle. This eliminates the gap you have between stitches and creates a more solid finished fabric without extra thickness.

The stitch looks really unique too with an added line created by the join, in the center of the stitch.

When you work the linked dc in spirals it creates a flat and seamless round project. This is great for making hats, dishcloths and other projects like potholders and rugs.
