Maria is the designer behind Pattern Paradise, where she shares her love for crochet and sewing. She’s been crafting since childhood and taught herself to crochet by watching others and studying patterns. Though she’s explored many crafts over the years, crochet remains her favorite. Pattern Paradise is her way of sharing creative ideas and designs with fellow makers.
Kara Gunza is the designer and instructor behind Petals to Picots, where she shares her crochet patterns, tutorials, and tips. She’s been crocheting for over 30 years—starting with simple chain stitches learned by her Nonna’s side—and has since earned the CGOA’s Master of Advanced Stitches & Techniques certification. Her work has been featured in books like Baby Brights and in magazines including Simply Crochet, Crochet!, Homespun, and Inside Crochet. Kara enjoys helping others learn and grow in their crochet skills, but she’s happiest spending time at home with her husband, their three kids, and their energetic dog.
Dedri Uys is the designer behind Lookatwhatimade, a crochet website known for its detailed step-by-step tutorials and inspiring patterns. What began as a general craft and baking blog has become a dedicated crochet space filled with colorful projects and supportive resources. Dedri learned to crochet as a child and rediscovered it as a form of therapy—something that’s helped her manage her health and bring joy to others. She’s passionate about helping makers feel proud of what they create, no matter their skill level. Her most well-known project is Sophie’s Universe, a free crochet-along that’s been embraced by crocheters around the world. She’s also the author of several books, including Amamani Puzzle Animals, Crochet Therapy, and Bold Baby Crochet. Originally from South Africa, Dedri now lives in the UK with her husband and three sons. She works part-time as a radiotherapist and spends every free moment designing and sharing her love for crochet.
Tamara Kelly is the designer behind Moogly, a site she launched in 2011 to share her crochet and knit designs. What started as a mommy blog grew into a full-time creative business. She runs Moogly with her husband Geoff, who handles the tech and video work, while they raise their three kids in Iowa. Today, Moogly connects Tamara with makers worldwide through patterns, tutorials, and more.
Amy is the designer and blogger behind The Stitchin’ Mommy. She’s a mom of two, a crochet lover, and a self-proclaimed yarn addict. When she’s not designing patterns, you’ll find her baking, crafting, or snapping the occasional photo. She enjoys sharing her love of crochet, coffee, and all things pink on her blog—one project at a time.
