Designer Profile

Marie Segares is the designer and instructor behind Underground Crafter. She learned to crochet from her grandmother in 1984 and picked up knitting in 2010. Crochet is still her favorite, but she also enjoys sewing, quilting, and other crafts.

Marie shares free crochet and knitting patterns, tutorials, and sew/quilt projects on her blog. A certified instructor through the Craft Yarn Council, she has taught across various schools, libraries, and events. She’s also the author of two books for makers looking to grow their businesses.

Now based in Vermont, Marie continues to support the crafting community through her patterns, tutorials, and Facebook group for fellow makers.
