Alpine Stitch Afghan Pattern + Video

There is nothing better than a cozy crochet blanket. Crochet blankets are always a popular choice among crocheters.

Today I am sharing a free crochet pattern for a fast and easy crochet afghan using the Alpine Stitch. The crochet Alpine stitch gives this blanket a fantastic texture.

This stitch looks amazing in all weights of yarn. Just be sure to adjust your crochet hook size as necessary, based on the yarn label of your chosen yarn. The Alpine Crochet Stitch looks so elegant and the blanket works up fairly quick.

The alpine crochet stitch is quite easy to make. It is made up of double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc) and front post double crochet (FPdc) stitches. This project is crocheted back and forth in rows and using a cake yarn allows you to create a lovely stripes of color easily.

Along with the free pattern and video tutorial, there is also a photo tutorial to show you how to crochet the Alpine Stitch.
