Crocheters looking to get creative this holiday season, why not try your hand at an easy, yet impressive, granny square ornament? This easy project was created by Eye Love Knots.
How to Make a Granny Square Ornament
Not only can you make a stunning single color square, but stripes look amazing too. And if you don’t want to hang it on your tree, you can also use the squares as gift tags or string them up to create a festive garland.
All you need is 10 (15, 20, 30) yards of embroidery floss, #10 crochet thread or fingering weight yarn, a D3/3mm crochet hook, a tapestry needle, a soft tape measure, and some 7 mesh plastic canvas.
With this, you’ll be able to create four sizes of granny square ornaments that range from 2″ – 4″, with instructions on how to make a hanging loop.
So start crocheting and add a personalized touch to your home this holiday!
