How to Crochet the Chain Stitch Ring

  1. Leave a 4 to 6 inch yarn tail and chain 2, 3, 4 chains to start (2=single crochet, 3=half double crochet and double crochet, 4=treble crochet).
  2. Follow Round 1 of the pattern working the stitches into the chain furthest from your hook.
  3. Turn your project over and sew in the yarn tail to tighten and close the chain stitch ring.
  4. Follow the rest of the pattern as written.
