How to Crochet the Iris Stitch
- Stitch Multiple (for a foundation chain): 4 chs + 3 chs
- Stitch Multiple: 4 sts + 1 st

- dc – double crochet
- R – row
- sk – skip
- st/sts – stitch/stitches
- * to **– Repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times indicated. This repeat will contain of multiple instructions.
- [] – at the end of the row – the total number of stitches
- () – important notes AND sets of stitches to be worked within one stitch, or space
Row 1: Ch 23, sk the first 4 chs (counts as 1 dc and one sk ch), (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next ch. *Sk 3 chs, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next ch**. Rep from * to ** across to the last 2 chs. Sk 1 ch and work 1 dc in the last ch. Turn. [22 dc, 5 ch1sp]
