The V-Stitch is one of the easiest and most flexible crochet stitches you can learn. In this tutorial, you’ll make a 6-inch square dishcloth using medium weight cotton yarn and a 5 mm (H) crochet hook. This simple stitch forms neat “V” shapes that create a soft, open texture — ideal for dishcloths, washcloths, or even larger projects like blankets and scarves.

There are many version of the crochet v-stitch. This is one of the simplest.
